Exam pattern¶
BA LLB (Hons.): one paper, 150 multiple-choice questions for 150 marks, 120 minutes.
| Section | Questions | Marks |
|---|---|---|
| English Language | 50 | 50 |
| Current Affairs and General Knowledge | 30 | 30 |
| Logical Reasoning | 70 | 70 |
+1 correct, −0.25 wrong (four wrong answers deduct 1 mark). Ties are broken first by higher marks in Logical Reasoning, then by seniority in age, then by computerised draw of lots.
Syllabus¶
Per the official exam-details page: English language (50), current affairs and general knowledge (30), and logical reasoning (70). Legal principles may appear inside the logical-reasoning section to test logical aptitude, but the exam needs no legal knowledge or technical understanding.
How to prepare (free, in order)¶
- Logical reasoning is almost half the paper (70/150) and decides ties. Practise it daily.
- Read English comprehension every day; it is the next-biggest section (50/150).
- Keep a daily current-affairs habit for the 30-mark GK section.
- Solve the official previous-year BA LLB papers linked from the exam-details page under timed conditions.
